TUO Zhen
In 1997, Tuo Zhen was honored as a Distinguished Alumnus in the 1st cohort of Wuhan University.
Born in September 1959 in Fangcheng, Henan Province, Tuo Zhen entered the Department of Economics at Wuhan University in 1978. He joined Economic Daily in 1982 and quickly rose to prominence in journalism through diligent effort. His investigative report, "An Engineer's Family Lives in Two Rooms for Three Generations While a Deputy Director's Family Has Four New Houses—Authorities Conclude 'The Allocation is Basically Fair'," won the 1983 National Best News Award.
Tuo Zhen has held several significant roles, including Editor-in-Chief of Economic Daily, Deputy President of Xinhua News Agency, Minister of Propaganda for Guangdong Province, and Vice Minister of the Central Propaganda Department. In 2018, he became Editor-in-Chief of People's Daily, and in 2020, he was promoted to President and Editor-in-Chief.
As the first journalist to receive the title of "China’s Top Ten Outstanding Youths", Tuo Zhen has authored numerous books on journalism and has made a profound impact on China's news industry. In 1995, he was awarded a special government allowance by the State Council for his outstanding contributions.
2nd Distinguished Alumnus
DONG Fureng
In 1999, Dong Fureng was honored as a Distinguished Alumnus in the 2nd cohort of Wuhan University.
Dong Fureng (July 1927 – July 2004), male, was a native of Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. He graduated from the Department of Economics at Wuhan University in 1950 and pursued postgraduate studies at Moscow State University of Economics from 1953 to 1957, earning a Candidate of Sciences degree (equivalent to a Ph.D.).
Dong Fureng held numerous significant academic and professional positions, including Lecturer in the Department of Economics at Wuhan University, Leader of the Administrative and Academic Committee at the Institute of Economics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Deputy Director of the Institute of Economics at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Vice President of the Graduate School of CASS, Director of the Institute of Economics at CASS, Member of the Standing Committee of the 7th and 8th National People’s Congress (NPC), Vice Chairman of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee of the NPC, Member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), and Vice Chairman of the Economic Affairs Committee of the CPPCC. He also served as Honorary Director of the Institute of Economics at CASS and as a professor at Peking University, Wuhan University, and Renmin University of China.
Dong Fureng was a renowned economist in China, widely regarded as a model scholar for his pioneering spirit and dedication to education. Over a career spanning more than 50 years, he made substantial contributions to academic research and talent cultivation. To encourage innovation in economic research and promote the development of China's economic sciences, the Dong Fureng Economic Science Award Foundation was established in 1997 by related institutions and individuals in his honor.
LIU Shibai
In 1999, Liu Shibai was honored as a Distinguished Alumnus in the 2nd cohort of Wuhan University.
Liu Shibai, born in 1925 in Wanzhou, Chongqing, graduated from the Department of Economics at Wuhan University in 1946. He is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Southwest University of Finance and Economics, where he also serves as Honorary President. He is the Honorary Chairman of the Sichuan Provincial Social Science Federation, Editor-in-Chief of the Economist journal, and President of both the Socialist Political Economy Research Association of Chinese Higher Finance and Economics Institutions and the Capital Volume Research Association.
Since 1946, Liu Shibai has been dedicated to teaching economics at Sichuan University and Sichuan University of Finance and Economics. From 1980 to 1985, he served as Vice President of Sichuan University of Finance and Economics, and from 1985 to February 1991, he was President of Southwest University of Finance and Economics. He has also served as a Representative of the 7th National People's Congress, Member and Standing Committee member of the 8th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Vice Chairman of the Sichuan Provincial CPPCC, and a member of the 2nd Discipline Evaluation Group of the State Council Degree Committee.
Liu Shibai is a distinguished theoretical economist, recognized for his innovative contributions to the theory of political economy in the new era. He was one of the first scholars to propose and elaborate on the concept of a socialist market economy and advocate for the plurality of socialist ownership structures. His works include books such as Studies on Socialist Ownership and On Socialist Ownership.
Liu has received numerous accolades for his academic and social contributions, including being named one of the "Top 10 Most Representative Figures in Sichuan’s Reform and Opening-Up 30th Anniversary," selected as one of the "Outstanding Economists of Sichuan Province on the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China," recognized as a "Global Influencer in Chengdu 2011," and honored with the 6th Wu Yuzhang Lifetime Achievement Award in Humanities and Social Sciences in September 2017.
ZHANG Peigang
In 1999, Zhang Peigang was honored as a Distinguished Alumnus in the 2nd cohort of Wuhan University.
Zhang Peigang (July 1913 – November 2011), a native of Huang'an (now Hong'an), Hubei Province, graduated with distinction from the Department of Economics at Wuhan University in 1934. He was subsequently selected to join the Institute of Social Sciences at the former Academia Sinica to conduct research on agricultural economics. In 1941, he became the first student from Wuhan University to be awarded the Tsinghua Boxer Indemnity Scholarship for studying abroad. In the winter of 1945, he earned a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University.
In 1946, Zhang Peigang returned to China and served as a Professor and Chair of the Department of Economics at Wuhan University. In early 1948, he was appointed as a Consultant and Researcher for the United Nations Economic Commission for Asia and the Far East. In early 1949, in anticipation of the founding of the People's Republic of China, he resigned from his prestigious international positions and returned to Wuhan University, continuing as a Professor and Department Chair. After the establishment of the new China, he also served as Chief of General Affairs for Wuhan University and a Member of the Wuhan Municipal People's Government.
In late 1952, Zhang Peigang was transferred to Huazhong Institute of Technology (later renamed Huazhong University of Science and Technology, HUST), where he served as the Director of the University Planning Office. In 1978, he became the Director and Professor of the Department of Social Sciences at HUST. He later served as the Honorary Dean of the School of Economics at HUST and Director of the Center for Economic Development Research. Zhang also held roles such as Honorary President of the National Society for the Study of Foreign Economic Theories, Chinese Co-Chair of the Sino-American Economic Cooperation Academic Committee, and Doctoral Supervisor.
Zhang Peigang was a pioneering economist in modern China, whose academic achievements and leadership left an indelible mark on economic research, education, and international academic exchange.
3rd Distinguished Alumnus
LI Jingwen
In 2003, Li Jingwen was honored as a Distinguished Alumnus in the 3rd cohort of Wuhan University.
Li Jingwen (October 1932 – March 2021), a native of Luchuan, Guangxi Province, was admitted to the Department of Economics at Wuhan University in 1951. In 1953, he was selected to study in the Soviet Union and graduated from Moscow State University of Economics with a Master’s degree. He served as the Director and Researcher of the Institute of Quantitative and Technical Economics at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), and as the Head of the Economics Discipline Leadership Group. At the time of his passing, he was a Member of the Academic Advisory Committee of CASS, a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Economics and Management at Beijing University of Technology, and held various roles such as Convener of the Applied Economics Review Panel for the National Social Science Fund, Convener of the Economics Review Group for the National Postdoctoral Management Committee, and a Member of the Advisory Committee for China’s Medium- and Long-Term Science and Technology Development Plan.
Li Jingwen was the only social science scholar in China to be elected as an academician of both the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE). He was also a Foreign Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, an Academician of the Russian Academy of Humanities, and an Academician of the International Academy of Eurasian Sciences. Over his career, he served as a Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), a Deputy to the National People's Congress, and was recognized as a National Expert with Outstanding Contributions. Li Jingwen made extraordinary contributions to the fields of quantitative economics, technical economics, and applied economic research, earning him lasting respect and recognition both domestically and internationally.
TIAN Yuan
In 2003, Tian Yuan was honored as a Distinguished Alumnus in the 3rd cohort of Wuhan University.
Tian Yuan, male, born in 1954 in Henan Province, earned his Ph.D. in Economics from Wuhan University in 1992. He is the founder of China International Futures Brokerage Co., Ltd. and a renowned industrialist, futures, and logistics expert. Tian Yuan has served as Chairman of the China Chengtong Group, a Member of the National Youth Standing Committee, and was recognized as one of China's Top Ten Outstanding Youths. He is also a recipient of the title Outstanding Doctoral and Master's Degree Holder. In December 2001, he was elected as the inaugural President of the China Futures Association.
In 1983, Tian Yuan worked as a Senior Research Manager at the State Council Development Research Center, where he made significant contributions to the formulation of national pricing strategies.
In July 1997, Tian Yuan was appointed Chairman of the Chengtong Group, where he led 30,000 employees to successfully transform the organization from a loosely structured state-owned enterprise into a logistics group focused on metal distribution and storage and transportation as its core industries, achieving profitability and overcoming financial difficulties.
Since May 2000, Tian Yuan has served as the Chairman of China Chengtong Group and China Chengtong Holdings Company. In January 2001, he was elected as Chairman of the China Entrepreneurs Forum, and in December 2001, he became the inaugural President of the China Futures Association.
Tian Yuan's leadership and contributions have left a lasting impact on China's futures industry, logistics sector, and enterprise reform, earning him wide recognition and respect.
CHEN Dongsheng
In 2003, Chen Dongsheng was honored as a Distinguished Alumnus in the 3rd cohort of Wuhan University.
Born in December 1957, Chen Dongsheng holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Wuhan University. He is the Chairman and CEO of Taikang Insurance Group Co., Ltd. and a prominent representative of the "92 Generation" entrepreneurs. Chen currently serves as the President of the China Association of Actuaries, Chairman of the Yabuli China Entrepreneurs Forum, and President of the Global Chu Merchants Federation. He is also a Distinguished Alumnus of Wuhan University, a Doctoral Supervisor at Wuhan University, and a member of the Advisory Board of the School of Economics at Peking University.
Chen Dongsheng has founded three industry-leading companies: China Guardian Auctions Co., Ltd., a top-tier auction company; ZJS Express, a renowned logistics company; and Taikang Life Insurance Co., Ltd., which has become a leader in the insurance sector.
Chen has been named one of the "25 Most Influential Business Leaders in China" by China Entrepreneur magazine for nine consecutive years and has been featured in Fortune (China) as one of "China's 50 Most Influential Business Leaders" for six consecutive years.
In celebration of Wuhan University's 120th anniversary, Chen Dongsheng donated 127 million RMB to construct the Wanlin Art Museum, along with a collection of valuable artworks, pioneering the establishment of art museums in Chinese universities. To date, Chen Dongsheng and his group have donated a cumulative total of 390 million RMB, demonstrating his commitment to education, culture, and social responsibility.

CHEN Wenwei
In 2005, Chen Wenwei was honored as a Distinguished Alumnus in the 4th cohort of Wuhan University.
Chen Wenwei, male, born in 1921, graduated from the Department of Economics at Wuhan University in 1943. He was a renowned economist and educator. In 1948, he began teaching in the Department of Economics at Marietta College, a prestigious liberal arts college in the United States. He also served as a part-time professor at Wuhan University and as a member of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs in China. Chen Wenwei was recognized for his outstanding academic contributions with honors such as the “East-West Scholarly Achievement Medal” awarded by the Overseas Sun Yat-sen Society and the U.S. Honor Gold Medal presented by the American Biographical Institute.
He held numerous leadership positions, including President of the Ohio Association of Economic and Political Scholars, Chairman of the Board of Washington Community College in Ohio, Treasurer of the U.S. Academic Honor Society for College Leadership, Member of the National Manpower Advisory Committee under the U.S. Federal Government, and Reviewer for the journal Economic Studies Quarterly. Chen Wenwei’s extensive contributions to academia and his ability to bridge Eastern and Western economic thought earned him widespread recognition and respect.

HE Liancheng
In 2007, He Liancheng was honored as a Distinguished Alumnus in the 5th cohort of Wuhan University.
He Liancheng, male, born in May 1928 in Liuyang, Hunan Province, joined an underground youth organization in late 1947 and became a member of the Communist Party of China in 1950. From 1947 to 1951, he studied in the Department of Economics at Wuhan University. After graduation, he began teaching at Northwest University, where he has worked ever since. He has held various positions, including Head of the Teaching and Research Office, Department Chair, Dean, and Vice Chair of the University Academic Committee. He is currently Honorary Dean, Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Economics and Management at Northwest University. Additionally, he serves as a part-time professor at 20 universities in China and has been a visiting professor at four universities in Japan, the United States, and Germany.
He Liancheng has made outstanding achievements in teaching, research, and talent cultivation. He has been recognized as an Outstanding Educator in the National Cultural and Education System, an Outstanding Teacher and Model Worker of Shaanxi Province, and an Outstanding Doctoral Supervisor of Shaanxi Province. His accolades include the Special Prize for Outstanding Teaching Achievements in Shaanxi Province, the First Sun Yefang Economic Science Award, the China Book Award, the Ministry of Education Award for Humanities and Social Sciences, and the First Zhang Peigang Outstanding Monograph Award in Development Economics.
HU Daiguang
In 2007, Hu Daiguang was honored as a Distinguished Alumnus in the 5th cohort of Wuhan University.
Hu Daiguang, male, born in 1919 in Xindu County, Sichuan Province, passed away in December 2012. From 1940 to 1944, he studied in the Department of Economics at Wuhan University. After 1953, he served as a lecturer, associate professor, professor, and doctoral supervisor in Western Economics at the Department of Economics, Peking University. He also held various administrative positions, including Deputy Chair and Chair of the Department and Dean of the School of Economics at Peking University. From 1988 to 1993, he was a member of the Standing Committee of the 7th National People's Congress and a member of its Financial and Economic Affairs Committee. Additionally, he served as Vice President, President, and Honorary President of the Chinese Society for Foreign Economic Thought and as Vice President and Advisor of the Chinese Society for Das Kapital Research.
Hu Daiguang was a distinguished economist and educator in economics, dedicating his career to the introduction and study of contemporary Western economic theories. He authored numerous research papers and critiques on Western economics, along with many influential books. His work had a profound impact on both the field of economics and higher education, significantly advancing the development of economic science in China.

AI Luming
In 2011, Ai Luming was honored as a Distinguished Alumnus in the 6th cohort of Wuhan University.
Ai Luming, male, born in May 1957 in Wuhan, Hubei Province, studied in the Department of Philosophy at Wuhan University from 1978 to 1982. He pursued his Master’s degree in Philosophy at Wuhan University from 1985 to 1988, during which he served as Chairman of the Graduate Student Association. From 1995 to 1999, he earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the School of Economics at Wuhan University.
Ai Luming has held several prominent roles, including serving as the 7th President of the SEE Foundation (Society of Entrepreneurs and Ecology), a Trustee of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) China, a Trustee of The Nature Conservancy (TNC) Greater China, and a Nature Leader of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). He has also served as the Chairman of Wuhan Contemporary Science & Technology Industry Group, Chairman of Wuhan Humanwell High-Tech Industry Co., Ltd. (SH600079), Chairman and Party Secretary of Huaxia College of Wuhan University of Technology, a representative of the Wuhan People’s Congress, and a member of the Hubei Provincial CPPCC. MAO Zhenhua
In 2013, Mao Zhenhua was honored as a Distinguished Alumnus in the 7th cohort of Wuhan University.
Mao Zhenhua, male, born in 1964 in Shishou, Hubei Province, studied in the Department of Economics at Wuhan University from 1979 to 1983, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, and obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from Wuhan University in 1996. He currently serves as the Chairman of China Chengxin Credit Management Co., Ltd., Co-Director of the Institute of Economic Research at Renmin University of China, and Dean of the Dong Fureng Institute of Economic and Social Development at Wuhan University. Mao Zhenhua is also a board member of Wuhan University.
Mao Zhenhua has been deeply engaged in economic research and practical work throughout his career. He has held various positions in institutions such as the Hubei Provincial Statistics Bureau, the Policy Research Office of the Hubei Provincial Party Committee, the Research Center of the Hainan Provincial Government, and the Research Office of the State Council. In 1992, he founded China’s first national credit rating agency, China Chengxin Credit Management Co., Ltd.Mao Zhenhua has made significant contributions to research in macroeconomics, capital markets, and credit rating theory. He has authored several books, including On the Capitalization of Enterprise Systems, and led the development of China Chengxin’s credit rating methods and systems. Additionally, he has initiated and participated in numerous major domestic and international conferences and seminars.

YAN Zhi
In 2018, Yan Zhi was honored as a Distinguished Alumnus in the 8th cohort of Wuhan University.
Yan Zhi, male, born in July 1972 in Luotian, Hubei Province, holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Wuhan University and is a doctoral candidate at Wuhan University’s Chinese Traditional Culture Research Center. He is a Senior Economist and currently serves as the Chairman of Zall Holdings Co., Ltd. and Hanshang Group. Yan Zhi is a Deputy to the 13th National People's Congress, a Distinguished Alumnus of Wuhan University, and was recognized as one of the "100 Outstanding Private Entrepreneurs in 40 Years of Reform and Opening-Up." He also serves as the Vice Chairman of the Wuhan University Alumni Entrepreneurs Association.
In 2013, Zall Holdings was awarded the 8th "China Charity Award" by the Ministry of Civil Affairs. Yan Zhi has received numerous accolades, including "Person of the Year in 2015 by Chinese Sons and Daughters" and "Top 10 Economic Figures of 2016." He is also a board member of Wuhan University.

ZENG Wentao
In 2020, Zeng Wentao was honored as a Distinguished Alumnus in the 9th cohort of Wuhan University.
Zeng Wentao, male, born in July 1963, earned his doctorate in Political Economy (Class of 1994) from Wuhan University. He is the Chairman of Wuhan Yinhai Real Estate Co., Ltd. and the CEO of Zhongjia Capital (Wuhan) Investment Management Co., Ltd. Zeng served as Vice Chairman of the 12th and 13th Wuhan Federation of Industry and Commerce and as a member of the 11th and 12th Wuhan Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). As the leader of the Emergency Response Team of the Wuhan University Alumni Entrepreneurs Association during the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, Zeng Wentao worked tirelessly on the front lines in Wuhan. He not only personally donated funds and supplies to support the pandemic response but also dedicated himself to the procurement of relief materials, undertaking numerous detailed and critical tasks. Zeng Wentao remains deeply committed to the development of Wuhan University and has made significant contributions to the university's growth and construction efforts.
YU Peng
In 2020, Yu Peng was honored as a Distinguished Alumnus in the 9th cohort of Wuhan University.
Yu Peng, male, born in June 1965, holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Wuhan University. He is the founder and Chairman of Weipeng Group and a Senior Economist. Yu Peng is a prominent overseas Chinese leader, serving as the Executive Vice President of the China Federation of Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs and President of the Hubei Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs Association. He is also a Standing Committee Member of the Hubei Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). Yu Peng has received numerous accolades, including the titles of "Outstanding Entrepreneur of Chu Business during China's 40 Years of Reform and Opening-Up", the "2020 May Day Labor Medal of Hubei Province", the "Outstanding Contribution to Pandemic Response Award", and the "2020 Tribute to Anti-Pandemic Heroes in China". During the COVID-19 pandemic, Yu Peng promptly organized a team in the United States to procure medical protective supplies. He not only personally donated significant funds and materials to support the pandemic response but also mobilized overseas Chinese organizations to actively participate. Collectively, he helped coordinate donations of nearly 200 million RMB worth of supplies and funds. Yu Peng remains deeply committed to the development of Wuhan University and has made significant contributions to the university's growth and construction efforts.
JIAN Hong
In 2020, Jian Hong was honored as a Distinguished Alumnus in the 9th cohort of Wuhan University.
Jian Hong, male, born in 1963 in Zunyi, Guizhou Province, graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from the Department of Economics at Wuhan University in 1984. He is a renowned figure in the insurance industry and a National Model Worker in China’s insurance system. Jian Hong was the first professional in mainland China to become a Top Member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT). He currently serves as the Secretary-General of the Wuhan University Alumni Entrepreneurs Association and the Secretary-General of the Chu Business Association. Jian Hong has received numerous honors, including "Model Worker of Wuhan (17th Session)", "2018 Wuhan Best Investment Ambassador of the Year", "2020 Hubei May Day Labor Medal", and "2020 Hubei Outstanding Individual in Fighting COVID-19". Jian Hong has made significant contributions to uniting and serving alumni, as well as promoting the economic and social development of both his alma mater and the local region. HUANG Chunhua
In 2023, Huang Chunhua was honored as a Distinguished Alumnus in the 10th cohort of Wuhan University.
Huang Chunhua, male, born in 1964, was admitted to the Department of Economics and Management at Wuhan University in September 1982 with outstanding academic performance and graduated in June 1986 with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. That same year, he was recommended for postgraduate studies at the School of Management, Wuhan University, as the top student of his class, exempted from the entrance examination. In 1988, Huang Chunhua received a UK government scholarship to study at the University of Strathclyde, where he earned an MBA degree in 1989 and later obtained a Ph.D. in Marketing in 1994.
At the end of 2016, Huang Chunhua established Pasaca Capital Inc., a private equity firm in California, USA, specializing in investments in innovative technologies and products worldwide. In 2020, during the global COVID-19 pandemic, leveraging his sharp business acumen and leadership, he founded Innova Medical Group, Inc., which invested in pandemic prevention products, including diagnostic test kits.
In November 2021, Dr. Huang Chunhua donated 40 million USD (approximately 255 million RMB) to Wuhan University through his private charitable foundation, of which 10 million USD was designated for the development of the School of Economics and Management, including discipline building, talent recruitment, and institutional growth.

CHEN Zuotao
In 2024, Chen Zuotao was honored as a Distinguished Alumnus in the 11th cohort of Wuhan University.
Chen Zuotao, male, born in 1970, pursued his undergraduate studies at the School of Management, Wuhan University, from 1988 to 1992. He currently serves as the Chairman of Tianhao Energy Co., Ltd. and the Chairman of Giantec Semiconductor Corporation. As an esteemed alumnus, Chen specializes in investing in strategic emerging industries such as new energy, new materials, semiconductor chips, and quantum technology. With extensive experience in investment and corporate management, he has made remarkable contributions to resource conservation, improving living environments, and advancing the industrialization of China's technological achievements.
HUA Sheng
In 2024, Hua Sheng was honored as a Distinguished Alumnus in the 11th cohort of Wuhan University.
Hua Sheng, male, born in 1953, pursued his doctoral studies at the School of Economics and Management, Wuhan University, from 1997 to 2000. He currently serves as the Vice President of the China Society of Economic Reform, the Dean of the National Development and Policy Research Institute at Southeast University, Honorary Dean of the School of Economics and Management, Senior Professor of Humanities and Social Sciences, Professor at the School of Economics and Management at Wuhan University, and Chairman of the Academic Committee of the Dong Fureng Economic and Social Development Research Institute.As a distinguished alumnus, Hua Sheng has been a key proponent and driving force behind three significant reforms that have shaped China's economic transformation: the dual-track pricing system, the state-owned assets system reform, and the split-share structure reform. He has been awarded the Sun Yefang Economics Prize, the First Prize for Outstanding Papers in Central State Organs, and the China Economics Theory Innovation Award in 2011. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential economists in China's securities market.
TANG Min
In 2024, Tang Min was honored as a Distinguished Alumnus in the 11th cohort of Wuhan University.
Tang Min, male, born in 1953, completed his undergraduate studies at the Department of Mathematics, Wuhan University, from 1978 to 1982, and served as a teaching assistant at the Department of Economics and Management at Wuhan University from 1982 to 1984. He currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the YouChange China Social Entrepreneur Foundation. He previously worked as an economist at the Economic Development Research Center of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and as the Chief Economist at ADB’s China Resident Mission. From April 2011 to April 2024, he served as a Counselor of the State Council. As a distinguished alumnus, Tang Min has long been engaged in research on economic policy and social development, providing strong support for national macroeconomic regulation and social progress. In 1998, he, along with fellow alumnus Zuo Xiaolei, actively advocated for and promoted China's university enrollment expansion policy. In recent years, he has focused on empowering emerging and traditional industries with new productive forces and advancing rural education and rural industry development.
