Curriculum Vitae

Song Min is the Dean of Economics and Management School, Wuhan University, Professor in Finance and Economics. He was a Professor in finance and economics in The University of Hong Kong and a Professor and Chair in finance in the School of Economics, Peking University. Professor Song also serves as Founding Chairman of Hong Kong Institute of International Finance, an academy committee member of International Finance Forum, and Vice Chair of China Finance Association of Hong Kong.

Prof.Song’s research fields include corporate finance and corporate governance, banking, financial markets, and innovation economics. His research papers have been published in " Social Science in China", "Economic Research Journal", "Management World","China Economic Quarterly" , "Journal of Finance Research", "China Industrial Economics","Nankai Business Review", Journal of Financial Economics, The Economic Journal, Journal of Business, Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, Journal of Comparative Economics, American Journal of Agricultural Economics and other top Chinese and English journals.

Prof. Song’s research papers are widely downloaded and cited. According to statistics of SSRN, his academic papers have been downloaded 23,488 times, globally ranking 1279. As one of the top 20% of scholars in the world, his academic papers are highly cited in economics research area. According to statistics of Google Scholar, his academic papers have been cited 7536 times in total, 3352 citations in the last 5 years, and a single citation rate is as high as 1234 times. According to the latest statistics from the top Chinese journal "Economic Research Journal",2 papers have entered the list of the top 200 most cited papers, and one of them is on the top ten list.

Prof. Song has rich experience in policy consulting and scientific research management. The relevant occupational history is as follows: the Central Policy Unit (CPU) of the Hong Kong Government, the China Investment Corporation, the Financial Human Resources Development Committee of the Hong Kong Government, the Shenzhen Qianhai Pilot Zone as a policy consultant, a post-doctoral supervisor at the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, a post-doctoral supervisor at the Shanghai Stock Exchange, and an International Finance Forum (IFF) academic executive member, director of the China International Finance Association, the founding chairman of the Hong Kong International Finance Association, and the founding vice chairman of the Hong Kong China Finance Association.
