Prof.Park is a development and labor economist who is an expert on China's economic development. In recent years he has published articles in leading economics journals on firm performance, poverty and inequality, migration and employment, health and education, and the economics of aging in China. He is Chair Professor at the Division of Social Science and Professor at the Department of Economics of the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology. He is also the Director of the HKUST Institute for Emerging Market Studies, a Research Fellow at the Center for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), a Research Fellow at the IZA Institute for the Study of Labor and a Fellow, International Growth Centre (DFID/Oxford/LSE).
