On March 21, 2025, the School of Economics and Management organized a visit to IPASON Industrial Park in Shekou, Huangpi District in Wuhan for students in undergraduate international programs and the Master of International Business (MIB) program. The visit aimed to deepen university-enterprise cooperation and broaden students' practical horizons. IPASON's General Manager of International Trade Division, Liu Chao, Product Director Wang Ruohai, and Promotion Manager Zhang Lian attended the activity.

Founded in 2012, IPASON specializes in the R&D, production, and sales of high-performance computers and related products. It offers comprehensive hardware and software services for terminal devices and has two sub-brands, IPASON and WUJI. Its main products include high-performance custom PCs, laptops, all-in-one computers, and related digital technology accessories. IPASON primarily sells through major domestic and international e-commerce platforms and has established joint ventures in the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand. Its products are sold in over 130 countries and regions, making it the world's top-selling custom PC brand for seven consecutive years. The company holds over 200 patents and is recognized as a national "specialized, refined, unique, and innovative" giant enterprise. Since 2017, IPASON has been involved in the research and development of domestic innovation computers and became the first Hubei-based computer manufacturer to enter the government procurement directory in central China. Four of its computer models have been included in the "Domestic Innovation Product Catalogue" and are widely procured by party and government systems as well as various industries.
The visit began with Mr. Liu Chao’s warmly welcoming to the international students. He also guided them through Workshop No.1 and the exhibition hall. In the exhibition hall, students closely experienced the company's technological achievements, while the fully automated robot operations in the smart factory impressed them with IPASON's integration of AI and big data. These firsthand observations provided students with a more intuitive understanding of the company's innovation and management.
Next, the students joined a meeting with IPASON's international trade team, which was a highlight of the visit for the international students. The team introduced the company's international strategy and overseas business plans. During the Q&A session, students engaged in in-depth discussions with the team on topics such as technology application, market selection, expansion, and overseas channels. In return, the international students shared insights into their home countries' cultures, markets, and the market conditions of products similar to IPASON's.
This visit allowed international students to witness practical knowledge beyond textbooks, offering them a glimpse into China's economic development at the micro level. It also helped them clarify their future academic and career goals.
