From March 4th to 6th, the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) EQUIS international accreditation team conducted a three-day on-site re-accreditation assessment of our School of Economics and Management. The accreditation team was led by Peter Møllgaard, President of Copenhagen Business School in Denmark, Caitlin Byrne, Vice President of Griffith University in Australia, Gu Wei, Dean of the School of Economics and Management at the University of Science and Technology Beijing, and Jacques Delplancq, former Deputy General Manager of IBM France.

The event was attended by Huang Taiyan, Party Secretary of the university, Yuan Yufeng and Zhu Deyou, Vice Presidents of Wuhan University. The leadership of the School of Economics and Management and representatives from various relevant university departments also participated in the accreditation activities.

On the first day of the accreditation, the expert team, accompanied by university leaders, visited the administrative building. Huang Taiyan introduced the university's history, its disciplinary characteristics, and the achievements in talent cultivation. Huang Taiyan emphasized that Wuhan University has always aimed at "cultivating first-class talents with professional competence, global vision, and social responsibility." In recent years, the university has been promoting high-quality development in economics and management through deepened industry-education integration and strengthened international cooperation.
At the first meeting with the accreditation team, Nie Jun, Dean of the School of Economics and Management, delivered a detailed presentation. He elaborated on the college's strategic planning, faculty development, research innovation, internationalization efforts, and the key improvement made during the current accreditation cycle.

During the three-day assessment, the accreditation team conducted 16 discussion sessions, engaging with university leaders, faculty, staff, students, members of the school's advisory committee, alumni, and industry representatives. The team thoroughly evaluated the school's performance in various areas, including degree programs, executive education, disciplinary development, faculty management, research capabilities, student development, resource allocation, internationalization, social responsibility, and industry partnerships.
At the discussion sessions, Zhu Deyou stated that the university will continue to provide full support to the School of Economics and Management in terms of faculty development, talent cultivation, and financial policies, aiming to enhance its international influence.
The accreditation team also visited key teaching and research facilities, including the School History Museum, the Smart Decision and Innovation Space, and the Behavioral Science Laboratory.

During the feedback session on March 6th, the accreditation team highly praised the development and improvements of the School of Economics and Management, offering constructive suggestions on optimizing professional master's programs, enhancing the talent development model, and furthering internationalization.
Yuan Yufeng emphasized the significance of the EQUIS re-accreditation for both the university and the School of Economics and Management. He noted that the team's dedication and professionalism left a strong impression on the school community. The university and the school will fully consider the experts' recommendations to promote development and continuously improve the quality and the global competitiveness of the school.
