From November 12 to 17, 2024, Vice President Yuan Yufeng led a delegation to visit the United States, accompanied by President Nie Jun. The delegation visited the University of Chicago and Duke University in the United States to further expand and deepen friendly exchanges and practical cooperation with the above-mentioned universities.
During his visit to the University of Chicago, Nie Jun had an in-depth conversation with Madhav Rajan, dean of the Booth School of Business. They discussed the possibility of full collaboration on Executive MBA and Executive MBA programs and expressed a strong desire to establish a long-term and stable relationship. In addition, Nie Jun also visited the Department of Economics and exchanged views with relevant officials on cooperation matters such as teacher exchange and student joint training.

During his visit to Duke University, Nie joined Fuqua's dean, Mary Frances Luce; associate dean, Jeremy Petranka; Associate dean, Russ Morgan; and Dean of Economics, James Roberts Roberts and other relevant officials have conducted many in-depth special work talks. In the cooperation talks, the two sides conducted detailed exchanges and discussions on a variety of cooperation models such as student joint training programs, EMBA and MBA programs. Through these discussions, they expect to strengthen faculty cooperation and promote mutual exchanges and in-depth cooperation in academic research and student training. This meeting not only laid a solid foundation for future cooperation between the two sides, but also opened up more possibilities for cooperation.

The visit of Nie Jun on behalf of the College to the United States to discuss cooperation with the delegation is an important measure for the college to deeply implement the international development strategy and actively expand educational exchanges and cooperation with the United States under the new situation. This visit further optimized the global cooperation network of the College, effectively promoted the educational and people-to-people exchanges between the College and American universities, and enhanced the influence of the College in the field of global economic and management education.
