On December 1, 2024, under the guidance of Jiangsu Securities Regulatory Bureau and Jiangsu Securities Industry Association, the eighth Find " Fan Neng Xian" National College Financial Business Competition successfully ended, which was jointly launched by Guolian Securities and Wuxi Education TV. In the fierce final, our graduate team "Quantitative gold rush" won the first place in the national university with excellent performance and innovative research results, and won the first prize with the only score of more than 90 points (92.4 points) in the whole game, achieving a historic breakthrough!

As a public welfare competition in the series of "Financial Quotient into Universities", Find "Fan Neng Xian" College Financial Quotient Competition aims to guide participating teams to produce research results that have reference significance and guiding value for promoting the development of the capital market and securities industry by analyzing and solving practical problems. The competition attracted 13 teams from well-known universities at home and abroad such as Wuhan University, Tsinghua University and the University of British Columbia in Canada.

Under the careful guidance of Professor Li Bin from the Department of Finance of our college, the ""Quantitative gold rush" team composed of our master students represented Wuhan University go out to battle, including Zhou Yanrui, Ding Ziyang, Li Yiming, Yao Jiarui and Wang Yujiao. With the paper "Artificial intelligence helps quantitative stock picking——An Empirical Study based on Deep Reinforcement Learning", the team demonstrated the innovative application of artificial intelligence in the field of quantitative investment and its role in promoting high-quality growth in financial markets. The thesis won high recognition and unanimous praise from the judges for its innovation, landing and wonderful on-site defense.

The award of this honor not only fully demonstrates the solid knowledge reserve and courageous spirit of our students in the field of finance, but also enhances the popularity of our finance major in similar professional colleges in China. At the same time, the Find "Fan Neng Xian" College Financial Business Competition has also built a high-quality employment platform for graduates, established a deep cooperation channel between schools and enterprises, and provided a broader space and opportunities for the training of graduate students in our college.
