A delegation from Kunshan Duke University visited EMS

On the afternoon of October 25th, a delegation from Duke Kunshan University, including Executive Vice Chancellor John Quelch, Senior Advisor to Chancellors Li Xiaoshu, Associate Vice Chancellor Li Xin, Assistant to the Executive Vice Chancellor Liu He, and Director of the Chancellor's Office Wang Wei, visited our institute. Dean Nie Jun met with the delegation, and Vice Dean Liu Cheng, faculty representatives, and staff from the Office of American and International Affairs also attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Vice Dean Liu Cheng.

The core objective of this delegation's visit was to establish a long-term and stable cooperation mechanism between both parties and to explore the feasibility of extensive collaboration in multiple fields. Nie Jun warmly welcomed John Quelch and his delegation and introduced the development of the institute in areas such as faculty strength, talent cultivation, and discipline construction. He particularly emphasized the institute's efforts in international education, including joint undergraduate and graduate programs with overseas universities, the establishment of international research collaboration platforms, and enhancing the influence of the Duke-Kunshan-Wuhan academic conference brand.

John Quelch introduced the basic situation of Duke Kunshan University. He emphasized that there is already a good foundation for cooperation between the two institutions. He looks forward to comprehensive exchanges and collaborations in the future, including research cooperation, joint student training programs, and executive training programs.

It is reported that Duke Kunshan University is a Sino-foreign cooperative higher education institution located in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province, China. It was jointly founded by Duke University and Wuhan University. Currently, Duke Kunshan University has co-hosted several economics seminars with the institute, established a solid foundation for cooperation in research areas such as energy economics and green finance, and appointed three adjunct professors to jointly participate in the training of doctoral students.
