Professor FU Shihe Invited to Serve as Associate Editor of the Journal of Regional Science

The Journal of Regional Science (JRS) is one of the most academically prestigious journals in the fields of urban and regional studies, planning, geography, and environment. Since its inception in 1958, JRS has been dedicated to publishing original analytical research at the intersection of economics and quantitative geography. The journal focuses on research that deepens the understanding of the economic and policy dimensions of urban and regional areas. In 2023, JRS has an impact factor of 3.2, with a four-year long-term impact factor, CiteScore (Scopus), of 4.9.


Professor FU Shihe, who holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Boston College, is currently a professor at the Economics and Management School of Wuhan University. His primary research areas include urban, regional, and real estate economics; labor economics; and environmental economics. His research has been published in prominent journals such as Journal of Development Economics, Economic Journal, Journal of Urban Economics, and Economic Research Journal. His papers have been cited over 2500 times, with an h-index of 20, showcasing his significant international academic influence in the fields of urban and regional economics, environmental economics, and labor economics.

       

Professor FU Shihehas received numerous academic honors and awards both domestically and internationally. Notably, he conducted research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Center for Real Estate as a Fulbright Visiting Scholar and was recognized under the Ministry of Education's "New Century Excellent Talents Support Program."
