On the evening of December 21, 2013, Wuhan University (WHU) EMBA Annual Meeting was held under the sponsorship of the first EMBA Student Union of WHU. Xu Yeqin, Party Secretary of the Economics and Management School (EMS) of WHU, Li Yanping, Vice Dean of the EMS, Hai Feng, Executive Director of the EMBA Education Center, Peng Dajin, an EMBA teacher and Yu Yanqin, Head of the Administrative Office of Professional Degree Postgraduate Education, along with EMBA students, attended the annual meeting together.
At this energetic meeting, Xu Yeqin and Li Yanping delivered New Year’s greetings to everyone present on behalf of the EMS and the EMBA Center, and hoped to nourish the friendship, share the happiness, seek the development and create the future together through activities of the EMBA Student Union.
Main members of the first Student Union showed up at the meeting together. Chai Bo, the Chairman of Student Union, briefly introduced the Student Union and voiced its determination to unite the strength of EMBA students; and then all the members expressed their common will to serve the students whole heartedly and develop the platform for the communication between EMBA students.
At the meeting, the caring donation conducted by WHU’s EMBA students at Qingchuan Nursing Home on November 29 was reviewed. It showed EMBA students’ concern about social vulnerable groups, allowing everyone present to learn the spirit of WHU’s EMBA.
The launching ceremony of the 9th “Xuan zang Zhi lu” EMBA Gobi Challenge was held at the meeting. The team pennant designed by the Preparatory Committee under the Student Union was unveiled for the first time; and the captain will lead the team to head for the contest. It was reported that “Xuan zang Zhi lu” International Business School Challenge is the only and largest exchange platform for major Chinese business schools with participants from EMBA students of various universities. It was the first time for our university to participate in this contest.
That night also witnessed wonderful shows performed by students from different classes. Class 2013(1) presented a Chinese zither solo, through which the audience enjoyed the melodious and vivacious music, and Class 2012(3) gave a cross talk full of humor and jokes. Everyone present was expecting the exciting interactive games and lucky draws.
The meeting proceeded in a cheerful atmosphere with every student present in high spirits. In the moving chorus We Are a Family from the students of Class 2013(2), it drew down the curtain.
