The fourteenth Outstanding Achievement Awards in Social Science of Wuhan have been announced: 5 achievements have been awarded to our school, including two 1st prizes, one 2nd prize, and two 3rd prizes. The monograph < < study on the relationships between zhong gu bonds in china>> by Professor Xiaohong Mie won the 1st prize in book category. The paper < < the competition of ability value-adding in national space>> by Professor Qinglin Liu won the 1st prize in essay category. The paper < < foreign trade, market integration and regional economic growth>> by Professor Zaiqi Liu won the 2nd prize in essay category. The monograph Study on the integration model of market and non-market strategy of enterprises by associate Professor Xinming Deng won the 3rd prize in book category. The paperSituational recommendation in network age: based on the perspectives of social network and consumer value by associate Professor Xiaoliang Shen won the 3rd prize in paper category.

Wuhan Outstanding Achievement Awards in Social Science is the highest award in the social science area in Wuhan and established by municipal party committee, city hall, which aimed to encourage outstanding and important contributions that making scientific achievements in philosophy and social science research, promoting theory innovation, and promoting the development in philosophy and social science in Wuhan, to stimulate enthusiasm and creativity of social science workers, and help decision-making for the municipal party committee and city hall. Since 1985, there were 11 award activities in social science have been held. The first three award activities were awarded by Wuhan Association of Social Science; then the award has been upgraded to city government award since 1992 because of the attention from the municipal party committee and city hall. The award has been promoted to the municipal party committee-city hall joint awards since 2002. This award is held every two years. It is an overall review and evaluation on the achievements in social science in Wuhan.

The award announced this year targets on social science achievements from January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2013. These achievements were repeatedly evaluated by the Committee of Outstanding Achievement in Social Science. After the 3 rounds of carefully evaluations, 1 honor award (1 in book), 21 first prizes (9 in book, 12 in paper), 54 second prizes (22 in book, 32 in paper), and 110 third prizes (43 in book, 67 in paper) were determined.

In recent years, faculty in our school keep an close eye on the reality of reform and development of Wuhan, emancipate the mind, seek truth from facts, keep advance with the time, vigorously promote theoretical innovation, increase the strength of application strategies, promote the innovation in philosophy social science system, research methods and academic point of view, speed up the development of “Innovation of Wuhan, Harmony of Wuhan”, implement the plan ofWuhan First Arisesin central China, and provide the energetic power and the intellectual support of constructing socialist harmonious society.
