EMS and EFMD Global Network held a cooperative teleconference

On March 8th, a teleconference between the European Foundation for Management Development Global Network (EFMD Global Network) and the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Office of the Economics and Management School of Wuhan University was held to further the cooperation in building the international employment and internship platform and the Student Captain Program.

EFMD Global Network introduced the international platform through a presentation. On the website, an amount of relevant information from enterprises, including some world-famous enterprises such as Amazon、IBM、L’OREAL、Microsoft、SIEMEN in Asia, Europe and America is available.

Emma Rebaca Pinto, global head of Student Captain Program, introduced the platform in detail. The aim of establishing the program is to help students, especially international students or students who seek for a job abroad to get access to relevant information in time. The next step of cooperation is to recruit a group of student captain in Wuhan University as Student Captains with the spirit of leadership and cooperation. The cooperation between the program platform and Wuhan University will expose the students to an amount of international recruitment information and provide students with a global vision.

The Accreditation and Quality Assurance Office gave an introduction to the efforts made to accelerate the building of the international employment and internship platform, which fully demonstrated the features and advantages of talent cultivation of the college and the determination to further the cooperation. Therefore, staff and students may utilize the platform as a tool for international job-seeking, internship application, and the internationalization of the college as a whole.

The cooperation between the School of Economics and Management and EFMD Global Network goes back to 2017 when the two sides built the platform on HigherED. Students, alumni and staff may log in for vacant positions such as internships and management trainees from transnational corporations, personal profile according to their education background and interest, and a series of tests, to keep up with the times.

Currently, the website has more than 900 members which include 600 colleges and universities in 86 countries. Among the 900 members, School of Economics and Management of Wuhan University is one of the few EFMD-accredited members that have access to its relevant services.
