On 29.November, an opening ceremony for an academic exchange center was held in the EMS building, the center was founded by Shanghai Academy of Social Sciencesand our school. Vice President of our university Prof. Luo Yuting, dean of our school Prof. Xie Danyang, party secretary of the school Mr.Xu yeqin, deputy vice secretary of the school Mr.Zhu Jianping, dean of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences Prof. Wang Zhen, Prof.Zhu Pingfang from Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences have attended the event.

The establishment of the academic exchange center is a symbol for a new stagefor both cooperation, said vice president Luo Yuting. He hoped that the two institutes should deepen and expand the cooperation to create more achievements based on strong faculty team and research ability both sides.

During the ceremony, Prof. Wang Zhen and Prof. Zhu Pingfang from Shanghai Academy of Social Scienceswere awarded as adjunct professors of Wuhan University.

Party secretary of the school Mr.Xu Yeqin expressed warmly welcome and appreciation to Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, he lastly pointed out, the development concept of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences is “two-wheel drive of discipline and think-tank” which is well matched with the university’s ”stand on the bottom and up to the sky”, he believed that the foundation of this new cooperation center will play a significant role for further collaboration(Edited by Bettina).
