On the morning of October 11, 2019, the "postdoctoral workstation" and "student internship base" jointly built by the Economics and Management School of Wuhan University(EMS) and Ningbo Commerce Bank was officially unveiled at the head office building of the bank. Our dean Song Min, dean assistant Dai Junxun, deputy director of Office of Party and Government Affairs Xu Lin went to Ningbo Commerce Bank to participate in the activity.

Before the unveiling, dean Song, accompanied by the bank President Wang Mian, visited the history museum of Ningbo Commerce Bank. The bank, established on April 16, 2012, is a young local headquarters bank. It is the first successful restructuring by foreign-owned banks and has independent legal personality of the city commercial bank. Since the establishment of more than 7 years, it has always been committed to shaping itself a characteristic and professional bank.

At the beginning of the event, president Wang Mian of Ningbo Commerce Bank and EMS dean Song Min addressed successively, they agreed that the growth of enterprises cannot be separated from the intellectual resources of universities. Adhering to the principle of "complementary advantages, resource sharing, results-oriented, joint development", the bank and EMS, taking the establishment of “EMS Students Practice Base" as an opportunity, have building a first-class university-enterprise cooperation platform. It is believed that the two sides will focus on achieving the goal of mutual adaptation, and make joint efforts to build a long-term, stable and efficient cooperation model, so as to make the bank bigger, stronger and better, and to improve the social service ability of EMS.

Our dean Song gave a lecture entitled "View Guangdong-Hong kong-Macao Greater Bay Area from an international perspective". He also visited Ningbo National Institute for Insurance Development(NIID) on this trip. Professor Qi Zipeng of the institute reported in detail on the work progress since its unveiling on November 19, 2018, and expressed that under the strong support and guidance of leaders at all levels, the institute has achieved good results.

NIID, jointly established by Wuhan University and the People's Government of Ningbo, was officially inaugurated on November 19, 2018. The institute will uphold the "National will, demands and goals" and "Ningbo’s responsiblity, undertaking and contribution" and make full use of the insurance subject resource advantage of Wuhan University to provide the high quality of decision-making consultation, intellectual support and talent supply for the development of nation, industry and pilot region.
