Attending the Annual Accreditation Conference: Asia Pacific is a unique opportunity to learn—and truly understand—the AACSB Accreditation Standards, while gaining insight into the latest trends in Asia Pacific and global accreditation and discovering the challenges schools in Asia Pacific face regarding accreditation and formulate solutions.22 professors from the world's leading business schools delivered nearly 30 informative lectures, including the fourth generation of industrial revolution and education methods, successful experience from accreditation to continuous improvement, and how to use AoL data.

This Business Accreditation Seminar aims to explore the teaching methods of business schools, the key elements of excellent business schools, the four main topics in accreditation and the AACSB standards. AACSB requires the candidate school to align with the school’s mission, to build a top-down, coherent and consistent teaching and governance system. The AACSB accreditation standards cover a wide range of contents which the candidate school needs to address, such as school strategy and innovation, participants-students, faculty and staff, teaching and learning, academic and practical activities. At the seminar, Boonchai Hongcharu, the former Dean of Thailand’s National Institute of Development Administration, and vice provost Patrick Chau of the University of Nottingham Ningbo China, conducted an in-depth interpretation of the 15 standards that AACSB officially came into effect on January 1, 2019. According to the actual situation of our School, he believes that the standard of the old version (i.e., the 2013 version) should be continued.

It is reported that our School has passed the initial self-assessment report (iSER) in 2018 and is now in the self-assessment stage of the first on-site accreditation. At this stage, the key point of construction is self-evaluation according to AACSB standards, preparation of Self-evaluation Report and showroom’s materials. The stability of teaching system and the formation of closing the loop require the wide participation of all teachers and students. In general, this meeting provides effective guidance and reference for the current work and further deployment of our School’s AACSB accreditation.
