During June 25th to 26th, 2018, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business convened the AACSB Business Accreditation Seminar. Assistant to the Dean of our School, Associate Prof. Guo Lin attended this meeting.
AACSB accreditation is one of the internationally recognized certifications of business education. More than 80 percent of QS's top 50 business schools in the world have obtained the accreditation, with four universities in the mainland and five universities in Hong Kong almost having both the AACSB and EQUIS accreditations at the same time. At present, 22 universities in the mainland have obtained the accreditation for business education. Our school passed the initial accreditation in 2016, and now is actively strive to pass AACSB accreditation as soon as possible.
AACSB provides its global members with the concepts, frameworks, experiences and paradigms of modern business school governance and international education. Under the supervision of the standard requirements of international accreditation, business schools should define their own position and mission, continue to improve, and encourage the relevant participants to devote more to support the work. Through actively seeking international accreditation, our school has taken the initiative to explore and try actively in the field of university modernization governance and internationalization development. The work of international accreditation still has a long way to go.
The AACSB Business Accreditation Seminar aims to explain AACSB standards to its members, promote innovation and development of business schools, establish links among international business education leaders, and create a platform for exchange and learning among participating institutions. Participating in this business seminar has accumulated a lot of first-hand data for our AACSB international accreditation team. The business seminar will also be an effective platform for our school to show its style and negotiate cooperation with the top international business colleges and universities.
