摘要:As a researcher, we need to write up articles for journals, reports, proposals, etc. But it is not always an easy job to impress the readership, especially the demanding reviewers and editors of leading journals. In this workshop, I am going to demonstrate the essential elements of such an academic piece, particularly a journal submission, and show how to craft the Introduction to highlight these essential elements, using an example of my own submission and revision. The example materials to read before the section will be circulated before/in the talk.

讲座人简介:何新明,杜伦大学商学院教授,营销与国际商业研究中心主任,先后在厦门大学和伦敦国王学院获得博士学位,主要研究领域在国际营销和国际战略,已在Journal of Management,Journal of World Business,Journal of International Marketing,Journal of International Management,Journal of Business Research,Management and Organization Review,Management International Review,European Journal of Marketing,International Marketing Review,International Business Review等国际学术期刊和会议上发表学术论文40余篇。何新明教授荣获了2019年度Emerald Literati Highly Commended Award,2017年度Emerald Literati Network Awards以及2013年的the European Journal of Marketing Award for Research in Marketing。他是Journal of Business Research和Journal of Asian Business & Management的副主编,也是Asia Pacific Journal of Management和International Journal of Emerging Markets的编委会成员。他是UKRI未来领袖奖学金(Future Leaders Fellowships, FLF)项目同行评审学院的成员。曾受邀在英国兰开斯特大学(Lancaster University)、约克大学(the University of York)、纽卡斯尔大学(Newcastle University)、布鲁内尔大学(Brunel University)、伯克贝克学院(Birkbeck College)、伦敦大学(University of London)、杜伦大学(Durham University)、厦门大学等多所大学的学术研讨会上发表演讲。
