The Second International Forum of HRM in China and Employee Happiness Management was Successfully Held

On September 28 and 29, the second international forum of HRM in China & employee happiness management organized by our school was successfully held. The meeting was sponsored by Journal of Management periodical office and was held by Chinese Society for Management Modernization Professional committee of human resource management and organizational behavior, Economics and Management School of Wuhan University, Nanjing University Business School and School of Management, HUAZHONG University of Science & Technology , and was strongly supported by the Management Science Department of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Chairman of the meeting was professor Zhao Shu ming and executive chairman was Professor Li Yan ping.

The meeting opened on the morning of 28 in our school’s lecture hall, the leaders attending the opening ceremony included vice-president of Wuhan University Xie Hong xing, Deputy director of human resources and social security hall in Hubei province and more than 200 specialists and scholars from famous universities at home and abroad, which included professor Malcolm Warner from the University of Cambridge. Professor Amanuel and G.Tekleab from Wayne State University, professor Long Wai Lam from the University of Macau, professor Chi-Sum Wong from the Chinese University of HongKong.

The meeting focused on the scientific issues in Organizational management and human resource management practices, employee happiness management, harmonious labor relationship and employment model research, Chinese enterprise human resource management and organizational change (with case )research, new generation staff management and different generations staff values difference research organization learning and knowledge staff management, work-family balance and social support research, cross-cultural management and expatriate staff management model research, emotion management and human resources crisis management etc.

Theme reports, sub-forum, round table presentation, young scholars innovation workshop and other forms of exchange platforms was arranged during this meeting , which were highly received by the participating experts and scholars. During the two-day meeting agenda, the participating scholars in their areas of expertise discussed fully and chatted freely. They truly had exchange with literature lovers and sheered their thoughts. On the morning of 29, the meeting concluded successfully. And in the afternoon of 28, the annual conference of Hubei Human Resource Association in 2013 was also held during the meeting. The secretary general professor Li Xi yuan made the association work report.
