Recently, 2013 National Social Science Funds evaluation result was announced. Five projects of our school have received grants of this fund, including 2 common projects, and 3 youth projects. Total amount of grants is 0.9 million Yuan.

Common projects include Prof. Jiang Qing’s Analysis of Positivism Tradition and Experimental Economics Principles in Monetary Economics and teacher Lei Hao’s Research on Transformation of Chinese Manufacturing Industry Based on Service-Oriented Concept. Youth projects include teacher Xiong Bo’s Researches on Fiscal Decentralization, Governmental Competition, and Basic Public Service Equalization, teacher Ye Lin’s Input-Output Analysis and Nonlinear Prediction of China’s Major Energy and Resource Investments, and teacher Hu Jingjing’s Research on Exit Mechanism of China’s Indemnificatory Housing.

National Social Science Fund is regarded as an indicator of research strength and research organizing ability by the social science researchers. In this year, there are 30,000 applications of this fund. After qualification review, pre-evaluation, meeting review, and approval of National Humanistic and Social Science Planning Committee, 3,834 projects were granted supports, namely 13% of all applications. Among 22 projects of our school, 22.7% of them have received grants of fund. This percentage is much higher than national average level.

Since 2000, our school has received grants of this fund in the last 14 years. Up to now, our school has received 97 funds of National Social Science Fund, including 11 major projects, 11 key projects, 46 common projects, 26 youth projects and other 3 projects. The grants indicate that our school is very advantageous in theoretical economics, applied economics, management science, and other fields. The leading researchers have played their roles of coordination, and the introduced and young researchers also have outstanding performance.
