Durham University, founded in 1832, is one of the oldest universities in Britain. Durham University is one of only three universities in Britain still using a college system aside from Oxford and Cambridge, and consists of 16 colleges. The Times has described Durham University as “always the best choice beside Oxford and Cambridge”, capable of attracting “large amount of students from the middle class and richer families.”
