Ten works from our school awarded excellent social science achievements by our university

Normal07.8 磅02falsefalsefalseEN-USZH-CNX-NONEThe Wuhan University 13th Award of Excellent Achievements in Humanities and Social Sciences has been revealed after the process of personal application and reviews by the departments, experts and Final Review Committee. Ten publications from our school have received the award, with 1 grand prize, three 1st prizes, and six 2nd prizes. Our school ranked high among the university’s schools and departments in terms of both the number and ratio of winners this year.Among the winners, the grand prize went to the thesis by Professor Lu Hongyou, “Measurement of the Information Asymmetric in Medical Service Market of China”. The winners of 1st prizes are Professor Chen Jiyong’s book“Influence Paths and Quantitative Measurement of Knowledge Spillover Effect on Uneven Growth in China’s Regions with Direct Foreign Investments”, Professor Pan Min’s book“Governance of Commercial Bank Companies: Based on Features of the Banking Industry”, and Dr. Fang Chao’s thesis “An Integrated Framework for Risk Response Planning under Resource Constraints in Large Engineering Projects”. The winners of the 2nd prizes are Professor Jiang Chun’s book“Financial Reform and Financial Growth: Retrospective and Reflections on Theory and Practice”, Professor Li Qingyuan’s book “An Analysis on Operating Performance and Strategic Motives of Vertical Mergers of Our Listed Corporations”, Professor Li Yanping’s book, “Development of New Farmers and New Countryside”, Dr. Deng Xinming’s thesis “Understanding Consumer’s Responses to Enterprises’ Ethical Behaviors: An Investigation in China”, Professor Liu Linqing’s thesis “The Capability-added Match in the Country Space: A Structure View of Industrial International Competitiveness”, and Professor Xu Minghui’s thesis “The effect of supply uncertainty in price-setting newsvendor models”.

Wuhan University’s Award of Excellent Achievements in Humanities and Social Sciences is a biannual award created for the purpose of awarding outstanding contributions made by our university’s researchers in humanities and social sciences, boosting the growth of our talents, encouraging high-level research, and improving the competitiveness and influence of our university’s humanities and social sciences departments. This is the 13th time the award has been given.
