Normal07.8 磅02falsefalsefalseEN-USZH-CNX-NONEOn May 12-13, Zhang Jun, the director of International Accreditation and Quality Assurance Office of our school; Hu Lingyan, the deputy director; Zhang Jing, Yao Linan, the Office members and GuoXianju in the General Office attended the AACSB International Accreditation Seminar held in Guangzhou.

The keynote speakers of the seminar are Professor Eileen Peacock, the President of Asian headquarter of AACSB and Professor Li Tianxing, dean of School of Management of Fu Jen Catholic University of Taiwan. The seminar centered on the elaboration of the aspects of the purpose, the subject and the qualification procedures of AACSB accreditation, etc. and made a detailed analysis on the 15 new standards of 2013.

During the seminar, the accreditation panel made sufficient communication with Professor Li Tianxing on the relevant issues of current AACSB accreditation of our school and exchanged in-depth views with other colleges and universities on the related issues. Through this seminar, the accreditation panel had a deep understanding of the new accreditation standards, procedures of AACSB in an all-round way, and made clear how to better grasp the subsequent accreditation process and the preparation of the application materials. Moreover, they further strengthened the liaison with other colleges and universities.

On May 14, the accreditation panel went to visit the School of Management of Sun Yat-sen University and carried out communications with them around the issues of AACSB accreditation, in which Dr. KeJianjie, the executive director of International Accreditation and Quality Improvement Office of School of Management of Sun Yat-sen University, Professor Wu Yingyu, project manager and others attended. This school passed the AACSB certification in June 2013.

After the seminar and the visit, the accreditation panel had a better understanding of the whole process of AACSB International Accreditation，cleared the accreditation procedures and learned the valuable experience and the useful guidance from the brother colleges and universities, which can facilitate the follow-up accreditation works.

AACSB(The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) International Organization was established in 1916, which is the leading certification authority of the degree program of Bachelors, Masters and Doctors in the specialties of International Business Administration and Accounting. The accreditation obtained by our school through rigorous and comprehensive assessment means the recognition of our quality and the prospects. Currently, only less than 5% of the business schools all around the world passed the accreditation. Our school became the full member of this organization in July of 2012, and now we are applying for the official accreditation.
