Our School Participated in the Assurance of Learning Seminar of AACSB

During June 27th to 28th, 2018, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business convened a seminar on the Assurance of Learning.Assistant to the Dean of our School, Associate Prof. Guo Lin attended this meeting. The seminar aims at understanding AOL(Assurance of Learning) curriculum management, comprehending the basic principles of setting learning goals and rules, and recognizing the problems encountered in implementing AOL.

AOL is a teaching quality assurance mechanism required by the AACSB. It requires to form a “top-down, bottom-up” closed-loop, cover all levels and projects of the college, and provide a systematic teaching management mechanism for “what kind of person to be cultivated”, which is a mechanism established by all the global business schools that have attained accreditation. Since its preparation in 2014 and its establishment in 2015, our school has set up learning goals and rules for all projects. It is now in the 3-4th construction cycle and belongs to the initial stage of AACSB accreditation. System stability and close-loop are the most important problems at the present stage, which requires extensive participation of teachers and students.

The seminar provides guidance and reference for the current work of our school, and helps our school carry out the further work during the summer vacation.
